Social media influence on TikTok: discover the 9 rules So Bang

With 800 million monthly active users worldwide (6.5 million in France), TikTok is the social network that every influencer dreams of. But to become a top TikTok influencer, it's best to know the app's best practices. 1. Create as much entertainment as possible

To become popular, you need to get the most views and an average watch time (the percentage of a video watched on average by users) as close as possible to the video's target audience. The more creative, original, and entertaining the content you publish, the better your chances of achieving this.

2. Don't try to publish too often

When launching your TikTok account, it is recommended to publish content every day for 15 days, but afterwards 2 to 3 videos per week are sufficient. 

Indeed, there's no point in bombarding millions of users who are already saturated with content. To win over your audience, prioritize quality over quantity! All good content creators on TikTok know this 😉 

3. Collaborate with influencers

To generate views on videos published by a brand on its account, you should try to publish on your account content that complements that of top influencers but that they do not yet publish on their own account. 

Furthermore, this content must be part of the same marketing campaign as that promoted by these influencers and be scripted. The goal is for the influencers to encourage viewers to click through to the brand's page to view this additional content.  

4. Create or ride the wave of top trending challenges

We talked about this in a previous post on using hashtags to succeed in your social media strategy : challenges have made TikTok a success thanks in particular to their fun aspect but also to their power of engagement.

Therefore, any top influencer worth their salt must create their own challenges or follow trending ones. For example, here are some top trending challenges: #Mr Sandman, #candyshop, #Gogogo who's next, #photostory, #sourireforce, #jeudecarte, #samedisport, #Cono, #Savage, #Imcomingout.

5. Personalize your videos with the most popular effects

The vast majority of TikTok users are young and enjoy fun, personalized content. So don't hesitate to customize your videos with the filters offered by the platform: Trending, Funny, Fashion, Editing, Selfies, AR, Branded Effect.

Use the most popular ones offered by the platform to promote your content to your subscribers and even beyond your community.

6. Leverage the most popular hashtags and topics of interest

7. Republish your TikTok content on other social media platforms

To promote your content across platforms, a top influencer thinks cross-channel. In other words, a top TikToker reposts to other social networks like Instagram, Snapchat, and YouTube.

This principle of communicating vessels is very effective: it allows you to multiply your visibility and increase your chances of growing your community. And therefore, ultimately, to be recognized as a top influencer.

8. Redirect to the brand's e-commerce website

Giving a brand visibility is good! Converting users is even better. So, remember to create links to the online stores of the brands you value. 

On TikTok, it's possible to create links in your bio, within a video, or through the Hashtag Challenge Plus. This new feature allows users to purchase products related to a challenge and its sponsored hashtag. The campaign generates virality while redirecting users to the e-commerce site. 

9. Advertise

TikTok offers several features for creating real-life ads. For example, In-Feed Ads allow you to display a full-screen vertical video in the "for you" feed. This is ideal for driving traffic to a website (or blog) and growing your TikTok account.
