In January 2023, the United States and Indonesia had the largest TikTok audiences. The US led with 113 million users, followed by Indonesia with 109 million. The app owes much of its popularity to its ability to capture users' attention and entertain them. So much so that in the second quarter of 2022, users worldwide were spending approximately 95 minutes a day on TikTok.

Furthermore, TikTok has rapidly become oneof the most downloaded platforms in the world. In September 2022, the video app had nearly 24 million downloads on the Google Play Store and approximately 7.5 million downloads on Apple's App Store during the same month.
